Product Details ORGANIC COTTON PREFOLD DIAPERS BY BUMMIS Prefold diapers have long been a standard for economical cloth diapering.  Now you can choose your dependable prefold diaper in organic cotton.  Bummis Organic Cotton Prefold Diapers are made of 100% Certified Organic soft cotton twill and come in their own organic cotton Bummis branded bag. These prefolds are priced and sold in 6 packs.  Each 6 pack comes with its own bag. Many people choose a cost-effective diapering system of prefolds and diaper covers to meet part or all of their diapering needs. Prefold diapers are easily folded into a diaper cover and then placed on the baby. If a more secure diaper is desired, then diaper pins or a Snappi can be used. Unbleached Prefolds have the benefit of a natural coloring that disguises stains.  Unbleached Prefolds do require prewashing before use to remove some of the natural waxes of the cotton fibers. After 3-5 washes, they will reach maximum absorbency and have their fluffy, quilted texture.  Prefolds arrive flat and will quilt up in the prewashing process.  Expect the prefolds to shrink about 20-25% during the prewashing. PREFOLD DIAPER SIZE CHART This chart was designed to give you an idea of which prefold diapers will best coordinate with your babies age and weight. PREFOLDS PLY FIT WEIGHT Preemie 2x6x2 Fits well in Newborn Covers. Perfect fit with the Newborn Super Brite. 4-9 lbs Infant 4x8x4 Fits well in small covers and can work with medium covers. 7-20 lbs Baby 4x8x4 Fits in medium and large covers. 15-40 lbs Bummis organic prefold diapers should be washed and dried 3-5 times before using to remove the natural oils and waxes. Please expect an approximate shrinkage of about 20-25% after completing the pre-washes. Back to the top
